Ohori Capital Pty. Ltd. today announced it has established a company in Fukuoka, Japan, called Eco Marine Power Co. Ltd. (EMP) to promote green technology related power and propulsion solutions for use onboard a variety of vessels and ships. Working with a number of strategic partner companies both in Japan and overseas, Eco Marine Power will begin offering products and solutions from September 2010.
Eco Marine Power will also coordinate product development activities and will soon begin a project to develop a wind power and solar energy system for use onboard ocean going vessels such as bulk carriers and cruise ships.
The company will initially focus on the Japanese market but will seek strategic partners and investors to help it move into other markets across Asia Pacific.
EMP will focus on marine related 'green technology' products which will reduce noxious emissions from vessels and also help shipping companies, ferry operators etc. lower operating expenses by reducing fuel costs.
