Fukuoka, Japan - 27th September 2012 - Eco Marine Power (EMP) is pleased to announce that it received a Solutions Inspiring Action Award at the 2012 Savannah Ocean Exchange in Savannah, Georgia in the United States for its innovative Aquarius MRE System - a wind and solar power renewable energy solution for shipping. The award was presented at a gala dinner on the 21st September in Savannah.
During the 2012 Savannah Ocean Exchange, Eco Marine Power was also given the opportunity to present to the delegates the Aquarius MRE System and explain some of the key features of the system and its EnergySail technology.
EMP also unveiled in Savannah for the first time a coastguard, naval and survey concept vessel which would utilise EMP's EnergySail technology as a means to reduce fuel consumption and lower noxious gas emissions. Using wind & solar power on-board these ships would also extend their patrol & operational ranges.
Eco Marine Power looks forward to building on its relationship with the Savannah Ocean Exchange and bringing new solutions to the event in the years ahead.
